Join the Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems organization and join an outstanding team of engineers driving innovation on products used by millions worldwide. Our group is looking for a highly motivated Performance Engineer to optimize software design for Apple's latest products, including the next generation of Apple Watch, AirPods, iPhone, iPad, and Mac. As a key member of Connectivity Firmware Performance team you will work on software design, testing and optimization from early prototypes until productization! The work involves devising performance evaluation methodologies on SW/HW prototypes, analyzing logs, and making recommendations for implementing in software based on trade-off analysis at a system & product level.

  • Work on software design, testing, and optimization from early prototypes until productization.
  • Devise performance evaluation methodologies on SW/HW prototypes.
  • Analyze logs and make recommendations for implementing in software based on trade-off analysis at a system & product level.
  • Strong understanding in one of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Thread, or related protocols.
  • Background or research experience in RF, Digital, and Wireless communications.
  • Experience working with wireless sniffers and protocol analyzers to debug and root cause issues.
  • Experience with Python for testing, data analysis, and visualization.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite.
  • BS in Electrical engineering, Computer engineering, Software engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Experience with power, performance trade-off analysis.
  • Experience with CPU profiling and optimizations.
  • Programming in C or C++ is a plus.
  • MS or PhD is a plus.
